The unique, modern design of this aluminum frame structure and
the versatility of the structural beam make it possible to use
only four different parts for the construction of the framework.

Each of these parts is inexpensive and readily available. Each
beam may be used as a vertical or horizontal support, fastened
by an interlocking joint. The entire frame is composed of
extruded aluminum for the maximum strength and ease of assembly.

The wall panels are a composition of weather and insect
resistant siding and polystyrene, and are readily available in
standard sizes.

The floor decking is composed of
¾
inch plywood and 2x8 foot floor joist. All wood is treated to
be termite, decay, and dry rot resistant. The unit can also be
constructed on concrete slabs. By placing the roof sections
atop the frame structure and installing durable vinyl liners,
both the roof and the 1200-gallon water collection and storage
system are complete. One tank is designed for solar heating of
the water and the other for holding cold drinking water. An
insulated
¼-12
pitch roof is optional. A ground cistern and water pump can be
added to fill and maintain the tanks or the housing unit can be
hooked up to conventional utility sources. Photovoltaic panels
are mounted atop the housing unit for solar energy collection.
A deep cycle battery pack stores the solar energy until ready
for use. The energy system, which provides interior fluorescent
lighting, is monitored by an internally installed power control
center with a built-in AM/FM cassette player as well as a cigar
lighter. Additional photovoltaic panels can be added for
refrigeration.
